Currently I'm at 18,120 words. No matter that it's an already oncredible amount, but I was shooting for 2000 a day.

We currently have a challenge going in Montreal to reach 25,000 words by 11:59 PM on Sunday. that leaves me 56 hours to produce another 9 K words.

Looks as if sleep will fall by the wayside. :)

    I totally understand.
My goal for the weekend is to be at 30k before I sleep Sunday night.

I'm at 20488 and the parentals are taking the 7yo and I have zero plans so it's do-able.

    Wish me luck!

I think all of us here are just a bit nuts. Yours isn't too bad a situation, though. That's really only about 7K words you need to do by Sunday night, and that seems pretty feasible. I managed to crank out almost 2500 words in about three hours this morning, which gets me right up at that 25K by Sunday night pace myself. You can do it!

Oh, man, and just when I thought I was catching up :-p

I'm at a little over 17k words, which puts me in the green for the progress report!

I didn't know about it, but do you all know about the proress report?

      Go to:
      www.nanowrimo.org/Nanowrimo...36477.html

But change the 36477 with your own user-ID (found with the link to your profile) - it's unfortunatley pretty handy, and...quite addicting. I damn the forum the forum that introduced me.

I'm going to try and meet the 20k challenge, also! You're all quite the good influence

I've had a Firefox tab open to the progress report since day one. Of course, I also have my own Excel spreadsheet that shows me the graphs and has several other statistics that don't show up on the progress report. I'm a database geek, so of course I had to write something to crunch the numbers on my novel. I'm thinking that by next year's NaNo, I'll probably have an Excel template written that will automatically go get the word count from the doc file and update it automatically. Heh! And Jeffrey thinks he's nuts... :-)

I'm at 16767. So far I've managed to keep up, but I think I'll fall behind tomorrow as we'll be going to the Sarasota Ren Fest. Maybe I'll write in the car on the way there and back. 1.5 hour drive. Hmmm.

Good idea. If it's an hour and a half drive each way, you could get 900 words each way by just averaging 10 words a minute all the way there and back. That'd keep you a little ahead of pace, even. You can manage that, I'm sure!
