Publishing Online As You Go?

Has anybody found an online forum, like some sort of blogging tools or sites, that would work for uploading each day's work as we go?

It'd have to be able to post "backwards" from the common "most recent on top" style. Just thinking i'd be cool to have a place where people could go each day to see the latest work!

I'm using WriteBoard ( writeboard.com ) in combination with BackPack ( backpackit.com/ ). They're very Web 2.0, centered around collaboration and versioning. I'm using it because it's easy to keep track of edits. The only thing is that it isn't public, so if you wanted feedback you have to invite others to it. Excellent backup though.

Wait... scratch that, WriteBoard doesn't allow paragraph indents---that's a problem writing a novel. I found another one that's way cooler, zohowriter.com. It feels like a word processor, but you can share documents or update them andywhere, and it has a manager right there on the side. And integrated word count! Score!

I've was previously hanging around a site called Fiction Press ( www.fictionpress.com ) and I really like it there. Feedback is mainly teenagers (is there ANY sites that have adults?), but they're great for unflagging encouragement and finding stupid mistakes like tagging your character with the wrong eye color or really DUMB spelling mistakes. Also, I went searching for any hint I had an online presence there through Google and other search engines, and I can't find a single one. There's some online privacy for posting a story there you may not get elsewhere.

Its not an word processing site, though, mainly to display your work so you arent creating in a vacuum. I find when people are waiting on me to offer a new chapter it lights a fire that--nanowri month aside--might not usually be there.

Not bad! I've been having good luck with Google Docs - it's kinda neat, because you're word processor and novel is everywhere that has internet, and you can publish it Live as you go! Every time it saves, the "publish" link reflects the changes. Kinda neat!

For a nicer feel, I've been trying the beta.blogger.com site..it's not too bad, but I'm having issues formatting the text when I copy and paste it in. Not sure on that.

Good luck, everyone! I've had a slow weekend so far, my books only hanging around the 6k count at the moment. Here's a link to my google doc live-publish:

      docs.google.com/View

And then here's my blogger (it's still pretty rough):

      i-the-novel.blogspot.com/

To get the front page, i created a blog that was dated in teh future (december), and then set the front page to only display latest blog. Then i go and add a link to each chapter as I finish.

Thanks for the feedback and ideas!
