Too busy this first day, I guess. So in lieu of that, for now I will post my word count here.
This is my first year, and so far today I have 1,555 words. It's just past 4 p.m. where I am (Mendocino County, CA).

Thu, November 1, 2007 - 5:15 PMI'm having the same trouble here in North Augusta, SC. I FINALLY got to post my word count after four tries and my excerpt after six, plus a bucketload of patience.
Word count so far: 1736, which is about what I'm hoping to average daily.
And, boy, it took alot longer than I expected! I hope it gets easier with practice! This is by first NaNoWriMo.

Thu, November 1, 2007 - 5:53 PMI've been at work all day, but have managed to sneak in a little here and there. Currently sitting at just about 800 even at around 6 p.m. in Medford, Oregon. And, yes, I'm having the same problems with getting the site to come up properly. Must be swamped.
